David Chapman was born in Winnipeg, Canada. After graduation from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, David attended the University of North Dakota School of Law. Upon graduation from law school with his Juris Doctor with Distinction, David was admitted to practice law in the states of Colorado (inactive), Minnesota and North Dakota.

Practice is varied, but includes attorney ethics (focus on immigration and defense before the EOIR and DHS), attorney malpractice, family and business/employment based immigration and naturalization. ��The firm also works in the areas of removal defense and the immigration consequences of criminal convictions (post conviction relief, withdrawal of pleas, etc.).

David is the author of articles on immigration law, has taught as a faculty member at Continuing Legal Education seminars for lawyers as well as paralegals, and has appeared as a guest on radio in the United States and Canada to discuss U.S. immigration law.

David is currently on the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee for Minnesota Dakotas Chapter of AILA.

David has represented clients before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.�� Additionally, David is admitted to practice in the following federal courts: United States District Court for the District of North Dakota, United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, United States Supreme Court.
